Job Description / Duties

Linfield College, a comprehensive college that combines a strong emphasis on the liberal arts with a commitment to professional and interdisciplinary programs, invites applications for a full-time non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor of Health and Human Performance beginning fall, 2019. The position supports an anatomy and physiology curriculum that currently serves majors in Public Health, Human Performance and Nursing. Duties include teaching courses on Linfield's McMinnville campus, particularly anatomy and physiology courses and associated laboratories, along with other Health and Human Performance courses as determined by the Department Chair.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Required qualifications include: 1) PhD (preferred) or MS in Human Anatomy and Physiology or related field; 2) Evidence of successful college/university level teaching experience and work in the field; and, 3) Demonstrated successful experience working with undergraduate students inside and outside of the classroom. Other qualifications that will be considered but are not required include: 1) Evidence of integrating student-centered pedagogy; 2) Anatomy laboratory set up and instruction including cadaver dissection; and 3) Experience teaching other Health and Human Performance related coursework.
