Job Description / Duties

The Wright State University Department of Kinesiology and Health (KNH) invites applications for a one year visiting assistant professor position to begin in Fall 2025. The visiting assistant professor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses and contributing to the department’s academic community.

This position is for a one-year term, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and departmental needs. We seek a person with a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Academic responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate classes in Physical Education and Health. Although the candidate will have no research requirements during this appointment, collaboration with current faculty is possible.

The teaching load for this position will be at 24 credit hours per year.
Teach undergraduate courses. 75%
Service departmental, university, and community related functions. 25%

Qualifications / Required Skills

Earned graduate degree in Physical Education, Health or a related field by start date.

Previous university teaching experience or equivalent.

Previous Physical Education/Health teaching experience in K-12 settings.

Candidate must demonstrate evidence of collaborative involvement in professional service, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with others.
