Job Description / Duties

The Illinois Wesleyan University School of Nursing and Health Sciences invites applications for a tenure-line position within Health Sciences at the assistant professor level. Ideal candidates will have a record of successful teaching and be able to expand the Health Sciences programs’ current course offerings. This faculty member will have a primary responsibility of delivering a course in kinesiology with a laboratory as well as contributing to other courses in the Kinesiology and Health Promotion major. Ideally, the courses would support other health and public health programs of study as well.

Qualifications / Required Skills

The candidate must have an earned doctorate in Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Athletic Training or a closely related field. The candidate must have a strong academic background in the field of Kinesiology, evidence of teaching excellence as well as a commitment to university service and appropriate scholarship. Those nearing completion of the doctorate (ABD) will be considered with the expectation that they will complete their degree by August 1, 2023.
