Job Description / Duties

The University of Nebraska at Kearney invites applications for a lecturer position within the Health and Physical Education program in the department of Kinesiology and Sport Sciences. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with faculty in the Health and Physical Education program to plan and implement core courses in the degree. A strong pedagogical background is preferred along with at least two years of teaching in K-12 or exceptional expertise in the field of teaching physical education. Lecturers in Kinesiology and Sport Sciences teach 12 credits per semester and advise students.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in Physical Education or related field and at least two (2) years of PK-12 teaching experience or meet the exceptional expertise requirement defined by Nebraska Department of Education Rule 20.

Preferred Qualifications: College teaching experience, Red Cross Instructor Trainer Certification. Two years of PK-12 teaching experience in physical education.
