The Department of Kinesiology at St. Olaf College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Performance Nutrition and Strength and Conditioning at the Assistant Professor level, to begin August 2024.

This new colleague would teach intermediate-level performance nutrition, principles of strength and conditioning, and directed undergraduate research classes to kinesiology majors. The normal teaching load is five courses per year. Duties also include ongoing professional development, advising of students, service on department and college committees, and curriculum development.

A successful applicant for this position will be an innovative teacher and scholar with a demonstrated interest in and dedication to undergraduate pedagogy. Applicants should have clearly defined and established areas of research, and be able to demonstrate how that research might include students. Ability to engage in interdisciplinary research with students and faculty from Neuroscience, Biology, Nursing, Dance, and other disciplines is also valued.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Qualifications:
A completed Ph.D. in kinesiology or exercise science specializing in nutrition and strength and conditioning by the time of appointment is strongly preferred. Preference will also be given to candidates with nutrition and/or strength and conditioning certifications.
