Job Description / Duties
The successful candidate will be required to teach undergraduate classes that will include but not limited to Research Methods and graduate Research Methods and Research Project courses. The successful candidate will also be responsible for assisting and supporting undergraduate and graduate students in writing research proposals, seeking out grant and research opportunities, securing IRB approval for research, conducting research, and writing and presenting research in various venues as well as providing mentorship and leadership in the department in the area of research. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to develop a research agenda and collaborate with departmental and university faculty in research and grant writing to pursue external funding, and serve on departmental, college and university committees.
Qualifications / Required Skills
An earned doctorate degree in Exercise Science, or closely related field from an accredited university. Documented teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels as a fully credentialed instructor. Evidence of teaching and conducting research in Exercise Science or related fields. Experience in teaching online courses.
Preferred Qualifications: Documented teaching experience in research related courses and documented success in conducting and publishing research. Documented success in teaching and managing undergraduate and graduate courses in the online format using D2L or other current on-line delivery system. Experience in course development and assessment. Documented evidence of grant procurement and sponsored research. Documented evidence of quality teaching, research and service in the profession. Documented experience related to program accreditation and development of program partnerships. Evidence of engagement in high impact practices.
Salary: Commensurate with Education & Experience
