The Lebanon Valley College Department of Exercise Science seeks an assistant professor of exercise science with a human and exercise physiology focus, for the growing exercise science department. The Department is dedicated to building a diverse faculty committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service to support the development and sensitivity of a community of faculty, staff, and students that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Qualifications / Required Skills

The position is a full-time, nine-month, 3-year renewable position. Primary responsibilities include teaching in the undergraduate exercise science program supporting human and exercise physiology content across the curriculum, maintaining an active research agenda in or related to exercise science, and service engagement to the College and community. Other teaching opportunities may be available in the exercise science master’s degree programs, based on experience and expertise. Qualifications include a doctoral degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or closely related field, teaching experience in an exercise science curriculum or closely related field, and ACSM or NSCA certification preferred (or candidate willing to ascertain by the end of their first contract year).
