Unique and Connected – Embracing Our Interdisciplinary Perspectives

Strands:
- Recruitment and retention strand offers opportunities to inform the field about current initiatives and research associated with recruiting and retaining students and/or faculty within the disciplines of kinesiology.
- Policy and advocacy strand encourages submissions related to policy and advocacy efforts within and across disciplines in kinesiology. Policy and advocacy can be considered broadly to include both formal and informal actions and/or initiatives.
- Professional standards strand should highlight work being done to revise, improve, and or challenge standards within the disciplines of kinesiology. Issues associated with program revisions and accreditation fall within this strand.
- Leadership and administration strand provides opportunities to share best practices and research focused on fostering leadership and/or current issues within administration. Leadership and administration can be considered broadly to include both formal and informal leadership and administration roles.
- Other: Other session submissions that connect with the conference theme are welcome.
NOTE: Submissions across all strands are encouraged to consider issues of social justice and cultural diversity and include research agendas focused on understanding and interrupting levers of oppression which includes centering perspectives and voices of marginalized and minoritized members.
PROPOSAL DEADLINE: July 1, 2024 - Proposals submitted after July 1 will not be considered inclusion in the conference program.
Notification of proposal acceptance is expected no later than August 15, 2024.

Please note that only the person submitting this form will be notified of the proposal's acceptance or rejection. The submitter is responsible for notifying the other presenters of the program's status. This includes notifying the other presenters with time and date of your session.
All persons listed in this submission must agree to the following.
- Speakers must register for the conference by December 1.
- Only the names of the speakers registered for the conference by December 1 will be listed in the conference program.
- Presentations without a speaker registered by December 1 will be deleted from the conference.
- Non-Attending team members will be listed in the presentation's description.
- The planner, speakers and all team members must consent to receive email communications from NAKHE.
