2023 Leadership Development Workshop

July 12 - 14, 2023

Entrepreneurship in Higher Education: Challenges and Opportunities for Public and Private Institutions

Jacksonville University
Jacksonville, FL

The NAKHE Leader Development Workshop (LDW) aims to develop young leaders by bringing together emerging and experienced leaders every year to participate in varied learning experiences and engage in insightful discussions on contemporary leadership issues in the field.

This year, the workshop theme will be “Entrepreneurship in Higher Education: Challenges and Opportunities for Public and Private Institutions”. The sessions will focus on the impending ‘enrollment cliff’ and best strategies to offer academic programs that are both appealing to students and beneficial to local and global communities. Answering key questions could help guide the growth of our institutions and the field of Kinesiology in the years to come.

  • How are the best possible programs chosen and implemented?
  • What are the challenges and opportunities related to program development for public and private institutions?
  • How do educational institutions overcome the challenges?
  • How do universities take advantage of the opportunities?

NAKHE invites faculty, administrators, and doctoral students who are interested in moving into leadership roles to participate in the workshop.
