The National Association for Kinesiology in Higher Education is the premier professional society in Kinesiology Where Scholars Come to Lead. Our historic principles support a focused and strategic mission that caters to higher education Kinesiology professionals. Of primary concern is our support of scholar-leaders who collaboratively work to spearhead administrator support, advocacy, and policy development efforts in the areas of research, service, and teaching in higher education. Most importantly, we purposefully support our senior and emerging leaders to those ends with association grants, and scholarships to keep costs at a minimum for members.
Our Leadership Institute provides members with quality leadership trainings, grants, and awards that support growth, interdisciplinary research, collaborative engagement with renowned scholars, and opportunities to shadow administrators. Our successful Department Head Certification Training provides aspiring administrators an extensive training program that includes mentoring, an on-line interactive course of study, three face-to-face trainings, leader assessments over the course of a year, and supervised leadership projects.
If you are looking for a place where you are supported, encouraged, and challenged personally and intellectually then the National Association for Kinesiology in Higher Education is for you! Join us at our summer Leader Development Workshop and winter Annual Conference.
