Job Description / Duties

The Kinesiology Department at SUNY Cortland invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position with expertise in strength and conditioning and the ability to apply Council on Accreditation of Strength and Conditioning Education (CASCE) standards. This position includes leadership responsibilities as Program Director and Field Experience Coordinator for the CASCE-accredited Strength and Conditioning for Human Performance undergraduate program.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Major Responsibilities
Provide instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in strength and conditioning
Advise/mentor undergraduate and graduate students
Implement an active research agenda that leads to nationally/internationally refereed publications and presentations
Pursue external funding for research
Direct graduate/undergraduate research projects
Program Director for the CASCE accredited Strength and Conditioning for Human Performance program
Serve as the Field Experience Coordinator for the CASCE accredited Strength and Conditioning for Human Performance program
Provide service to the department, university, and professional organizations
