Tim Baghurst is an Associate Professor in the School of Kinesiology, Applied Health, and Recreation at Oklahoma State University. He serves as the Director of Sports & Coaching Science, a program that he developed. Before OSU, Tim was an Assistant Professor at Henderson State University and a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas. Tim’s research interests include modeling health and fitness in the health and fitness professions, male body image, and coaching ethics. He has had more than one hundred peer-reviewed articles published and has presented worldwide across the kinesiology disciplines. His fourth book, Writing and Publishing Research in Kinesiology, Health, and Sport Science, was published this year.
Tim is a native of England and moved to the United States with his wife of 14 years Terra-Leigh. They have two sons, Asa (11) and Asher (7), and a cocker spaniel Hershey (9). In his spare time, Tim operates GOAT Sports Performance, where he works with athletes and sports professionals from around the world. Tim is also an avid racquetball player, and has represented England at multiple world championships.
